Early Years Training and Professional Development

Before booking on courses, please read the terms and conditions below to ensure you have familiarised yourself with the booking and cancellation procedures and the associated charges. 

To book a course place, browse the courses, note down the course code, and book online via the link in the course description. Please note payment for courses will need to be made in advance of attending training via the online payment service. 

Remember to cancel your place if you are subsequently unable to attend. All cancellations must be made in writing to childcaretraining@wokingham.gov.uk

    Summary This year we will be offering a series of Standardisation Meetings to support schools to validate and moderate their EYFSP data ahead of submission to the Local Authority. These will be held across the Borough, and any school that is due to submit EYFSP data can attend any of the sessions offered; you do not necessarily have to attend the one that is closest to your school – although you may do so if you wish.

E-Learning - Safeguarding

All members of the Early Years and Childcare workforce are able to gain free access to the LSCB’s e-learning package for Level 1 training. 

This package is easy to access and work through and is appropriate for those staff who are waiting to receive face to face training, or those who are due a refresher (i.e. have not received Level 1 training in the last 3 yrs) and those who would welcome an update.
