Deficit Schools

In addition to the support offered by the Schools Finance Helpdesk team, there are some additional resources to support schools with financial decision making. 

There are two key resources available:

 1.School benchmarking tool 

Useful for school leaders to see what a similar school expenditure is. It is for anyone from schools, academy trusts or educational settings to use, a DfE Sign-in account is needed to access some parts of the service.

2. School resource management advisers (SRMAs)

A free service set up by DfE, to assist the schools and academy trusts with accredited sector experts  to provide peer-to-peer advice on using revenue and capital resources to provide the best possible educational outcomes for pupils.
