Closure of 'ICT in Schools' Packages – Effective April 2025

The Wokingham Schools' ICT in Schools Traded Service will formally cease on 31 March 2025 and will no longer be available as a centrally procured service.

This decision follows a gradual decline in membership and a reduction in central local authority funding, making the continuation of the service unsustainable. Additionally, our Education Technology Specialist, Kathy Smedley, who has managed the service, will be stepping down in April 2025.

Schools currently utilising the traded service will be provided with comprehensive guidance on alternative organisations and resources available to support their ICT and educational technology needs.
