Assessing progress through the curriculum - Art & Music - Course code:EW

- Learn from subject specialist experts about assessing children’s progress in Music and Art.
- Gain knowledge that can be applied to assessing progress in other foundation subjects.
- Further your thinking around a holistic approach to progression and assessment in art and design, including the generation of ideas, making and evaluating, and self and peer assessment.
- Review ways of assessing children’s performing, composing and listening activities and consider how this shows their holistic progress in musical learning.
- Discuss assessment with colleagues from other schools, including those in another LA.

Up to three places are available per school in the first instance, one of which we would recommend is the Assessment co-ordinator.

Structure of the event
Colleagues will be allocated to Group A or Group B. (Wherever possible we will place colleagues from the same school in workshops together.)
