During this session, a range of ideas will be provided about how children’s learning can be moved forward in relation to three key areas of early maths learning linked to number: cardinality and counting, comparison and composition. These can all be connected to learners developing number sense. During the workshop, strategies that allow learning experiences (both in adult directed and child-initiated contexts) to be engaged with by children at different points of access will be determined.

Who should attend

Childminders working with 2-7 year olds.
