EY Inclusion Champions
  The course covers 6 sessions over the year, an opportunity to be part of a network of like-minded professionals sharing good practice and developing practical skills to become inclusion champions across the borough.
A wide variety of practical strategies will be covered over the course of the year.
Jenny and Claire have lots of ideas/skills/knowledge and you will be involved in creating this bespoke course to meet your own needs.

Who should attend
Anyone employed in a WBC Early Years setting, including childminders, with a passion to make a difference for all children especially those with SEND.
Course outcomes
Participants will
- Understand the role schemas have in developing and learning from children’s play.
 - Use visuals effectively to support understanding and expressive language.
 - Learn new strategies to support those who learn differently
 - Understand the importance of sensory processing differences and create sensory diets
 - Create an inclusive environment both physically and culturally.
 - Be able to use strategies to develop joint attention.
 - Understand the importance of positive touch and how to incorporate massage/sensory stories into group times.
