FACE TO FACE Enhanced Designated Safeguarding Lead Training for delegates that have been in the ‘DSL’ post for more than 6years
This training can only be attended by Designated Safeguarding Leads that have minimum 6yrs experience in the role
This two-part evening training (8th & 15th July 2026) will focus on the statutory roles and responsibilities of the safeguarding lead. Given the experience and knowledge of the participants, it will provide an opportunity for more in-depth discussions on how these roles and responsibilities are implemented in practice.
Who should attend
This training can only be attended by Designated Safeguarding Leads that have minimum 6yrs experience in the role
Course outcomes
Delegates will :
Understand the statutory and non-statutory role and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead
Share safeguarding knowledge and experience in implementing roles and responsibilities, and identify how safeguarding practice can be strengthened.
Recognise gaps in safeguarding knowledge/practice and identify what support maybe required or requested
