MHWB Network Meeting
In collaboration with the Charlie Waller Trust and Reading University
This is a 3-part series of events exploring the theme Pupil Happiness, Promoting a sense of Belonging and Togetherness
The first session will explore:
- Why pupil happiness and belonging are important
- A brief overview of the most recent data
- Life adversities and disparities that are present in our community of children, young people and families. Throughout UK research, learn about the Social Determinants which are impacting the mental health, happiness and sense of belonging of children and young people today. Learn about which groups are more at risk, and why, and what things to be mindful of when considering the happiness of the pupils in your schools.
- The roles schools have in promoting and developing pupil happiness
- Hear about a project and active steps schools have taken to positively impact and support pupil happiness (Smart phone free).
Spring Network Meeting date Wednesday 4th March 9:30-10:30 am (via TEAMS). This second session will build on the knowledge you gathered from the first session and will focus on what this looks like in schools by sharing inspiring examples of best practice, the session will explore good practice in local schools and organisations.
Summer Network Meeting date Wednesday 1st July 1:30-4:30 pm (In person, venue to be confirmed). This final in-person session will consolidate your thoughts throughout this 3-part series on pupil happiness by enabling colleagues to network.
