This session aims to equip and give guidance to senior leaders in supporting anti-racism work in their settings.
Who should attend
A senior leader and the racial equity leader from each participating school. NB Those attending this course must have attended the Racial literacy course.
Course outcomes
Key themes that will be covered include:
- Framing, prioritising and pacing the work
- Working in cross-racial teams
- Position and positioning of PoC staff, pupils and parents/carers
- Hazards: Common pitfalls, resistance and backlash
Greater knowledge and understanding of key aspects of leading racial equity work in schools, and of how senior leaders can effectively support this work.
