Identify the signs and indications of child abuse in order to respond appropriately in accordance with local child protection policy and procedures. This is a two part course, both sessions should be attended. 4th & 11th November 2025.
Who should attend
Early Years practitioners within early years setting. Committee Members. Playwork Staff (Out of School Clubs) Owners/Managers/Supervisors of Playwork Settings.
Course outcomes
State their role in safeguarding children from harm. Define the different categories of child abuse. Understand the key legislative drivers. Identify the signs and indicators of child abuse in order to respond appropriately in accordance with local child protection policy and procedures. Explain how they should respond to child welfare concerns.
