CAMHS
Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) works with young people who are experiencing significant, severe and complex difficulties with their mental health. These difficulties range from feeling low a lot of the time and worrying about lots of things to finding and fitting in with friends, hearing voices, having significant difficulties around eating, self-harming and even considering killing themselves.
Note: you should contact Emotional Wellbeing Hub or Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) for support with children, young people and their families who have emerging, mild or moderate mental health difficulties, such as low mood and anxiety, which may be affecting their day-to-day life.
For all new referrals please contact Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) HealthHub by completing a referral form via cypf.berkshirehealthcare.nhs.uk/referrals/
If you have urgent/significant concerns about your child’s mental health, between 8am to 8pm (Mon-Fri excluding Bank Holidays) please contact CAMHS CPE on 0300 365 1234.
The teams that are accessed via CAMHS CPE are:
- Anxiety and Depression Team
- Berkshire Eating Disorders Service (BEDS)
- Early Interventions in Psychosis (referral via GP only)
- Phoenix Unit Tier 4 Alternative to Admission Service (referral via Community CAMHS or CAMHS crisis service only)
- SHaRON online advice platform (request access via GP or CAMHS clinician)
