New updated material for 2026.
There are likely to be quite a few changes to child law and guidance in 2026, we will have the new Children and Schools Act coming into force in 2026, and a Crime and Policing Act as well, so hopefully by the autumn we will have a clear idea about the mandated duty for staff to report child sexual abuse.
Expected - KCSIE 2026 to have significant revisions that both designated staff and the staff group generally will need to be aware of.
New content for 2026 - new quizzes, case studies, a more detailed dive into intra-familial child sexual abuse, and a new section on reinforcing a strong safeguarding culture in education environments.
