Powering up Professional Development with Dr Chris Baker
The importance of professional development (PD) has never been in question but with new evidence linking it strongly to recruitment and retention our focus now needs to be even sharper. In this session we explore effective PD through the enabling conditions that create a firm foundation, the active ingredients that protect its efficacy and the systematic structure and actions that ensure it is sustainably successful. Striking the right balance of theory and practical strategies, this session is perfect for anyone interested in helping others get continuously better.
Strategic leadership of SEND with Gary Aubin
This session will look at how schools might 'control the controllables' in relation to SEND provision, instilling a genuine and joyful whole-school ownership of pupils with SEND. It will explore features of high-quality provision that every adult can drive, and that align with research evidence around 'what works'.
