KS2 standardisation and moderation meetings provide opportunities to engage in training activities exploring STA materials, to develop understanding of the Teacher Assessment Framework and standards for writing, as well as moderation activities in which the TAF is applied to the work of Wokingham children. Key messages about teacher assessment of writing from the LA and from the STA are shared.

Course outcomes

Greater confidence in using the Teacher Assessment Framework to accurately assess children’s writing at the end of key stage 2; Strengthened knowledge of good practice relating to teacher assessment of writing; Knowledge of key information and messages on teacher assessment from the STA and the LA.
