Progression in Practice is a six-session programme designed to help early years leaders and room leads bring greater clarity to what children are learning through continuous provision.
Focusing on curriculum, teaching and purposeful environments, the programme supports practitioners to move from describing activities to articulating the learning taking place - strengthening outcomes for all children.
Session dates - 30th April, 21st May, 25th June, 17th September, 21st October, 19th November 2026

Participants will:
- Develop a clear understanding of progression in learning
- Strengthen the link between curriculum, provision and teaching
- Improve the quality of adult interactions
- Better recognise and respond to children’s learning in the moment
- Create more purposeful, progression-driven environments
Other information
To gain the most benefit from the programme, we encourage participants to attend all six sessions, as each session builds on the previous one.
