A programme for new or nearly new SENCOs covering key aspects of the role, including statutory duties, the graduated response, OAP, EHC needs assessments, annual reviews, provision mapping, quality first teaching, working with parents and staff, SEMH, SEND budgeting, Ofsted and transition.

Course outcomes

To support new or nearly new SENCOs to develop the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to lead SEND effectively in school, including using Wokingham resources, applying statutory guidance, linking provision to Ordinarily Available Provision, and working collaboratively with parents, carers, staff and external agencies
